The AquaMotion AMK-ODR Thermostatic Crossover Valve is a quiet, lead-free thermostatic crossover valve for creating a hot water recirculation system in homes that do not have a dedicated hot water recirculation loop.

It installs at the fixture furthest from the hot water heater and allows water to flow from the hot water line into the cold water line until the water heats up to approx. 95F and then it closes preventing further flow.

Description

The AquaMotion AMK-ODR Aqua-on-demand crossover valve kit is a small, quiet, lead-free stainless and brass hot water recirculation valve for single pipe (multiple dead-end runs; no dedicated recirculation lines) systems.

It installs at the fixture furthest from the tank or tankless water heater (or multiple locations for large homes and buildings). It acts in conjunction with a hot water circulator pump to supply hot water on demand with the Smart Thermostatic Control 32 and smartphone app.

The ODR Valve mounts below the fixture between hot and cold supply lines. When hot water is called for using the Smart Thermostatic Control 32, the circulator forces the cooled hot water in the hot water line into the cold supply line which returns it to the water heater.

As hotter water reaches the ODR Valve it closes until a 95°F temperature is reached.
