The Maxx-Flow thermostatic crossover valve kit is a small, quiet, lead-free brass and 304 stainless steel hot water recirculation valve for homes without a dedicated recirculation loop.

The valve is installed under the sink at the furthest location from the tank or tankless water heater on all dead-end runs. It acts in conjunction with a hot water circulator pump to supply hot water on demand with the Smart Thermostatic Control 32 and smartphone app.

Description

The Maxx-Flow thermostatic crossover valve kit is a small, quiet, lead-free brass and 304 stainless steel hot water recirculation valve for homes without a dedicated recirculation loop.

The valve is installed under the sink at the furthest location from the tank or tankless water heater on all dead-end runs. It acts in conjunction with a hot water circulator pump to supply hot water on demand with the Smart Thermostatic Control 32.

The valve mounts below the fixture between hot and cold supply lines. When hot water is called for the Smart Thermostatic Control 32 turns the pump on which forces the cooled water in the hot water line through the open valve and into the cold supply line which returns it to the water heater.

As hot water reaches the valve it starts closing at 95°F and is fully closed by 104°F. The Smart Thermostatic Control 32 recognizes the flow has stopped and turns the pump off.
